The SQ7, Audi's performance luxury SUV, is going to hit Indian shores soon with a price tag of around Rs 1 crore, ex-showroom. Sources say that the performance SUV will be launched in the coming months.
When you invest such a huge amount in a car, it is but obvious to expect something different and outstanding, and the SQ7 doesn’t disappoint in this regard. The SUV has a massive 4.0-litre V8 diesel engine under its hood which delivers 435PS of massive power and 900Nm of peak torque. And just to let you know, the SQ7 is the most powerful diesel SUV in the world
The earlier generations of the Q7 used to get a V12 diesel option, but now the interesting part is that the new V8 which the SQ7 is getting is more powerful that the old V12. Not just in terms of performance, the V8 diesel mill is very efficient as well with less fuel emissions. The SQ7 also features an electric-powered compressor (EPC) which minimize turbo lag and helps the behemoth accelerate from 0-100kmph in just 4.8 seconds, with a top speed of 250kmph.
Speaking about the exterior, the SQ7 gets a different set of alloy wheels, bits of matte silver on the bumpers, quad exhausts and a crazy blue paintjob. The interiors are similar to the Q7, featuring three rows of seating, usable cubby holes, a virtual cockpit and a Bang & Olufsen sound system. Instead of the wood panelling, Audi has now used matte silver, which indicates the overall 'S' theme.
By launching the SQ7 Audi has added one more great addition to its lineup and, as always, the German carmaker will price the SUV competitively.
