2018 Isuzu D-Max V-Cross Launched At Rs 14.31 Lakh

The 2018 D-Max V-Cross gets a lot of safety features and a few cosmetic updates.

When it comes to lifestyle pickups, there aren't too many options. And hence, it’s very likely that you will end up zeroing in on the Isuzu D-Max V-Cross. And now, the same has received an update. The 2018 Isuzu D-Max V-Cross has been launched at Rs 14.31 lakh for the Standard variant and Rs 15.81 lakh for the High variant (prices ex-showroom Delhi). The pickup now gets added features, both cosmetic and functional, as an update over the current model. Bookings for the 2018 model are now open at all ISUZU authorised dealership across 28 locations in the country. 

On the outside, the 2018 model looks almost identical to the outgoing D-Max V-Cross, apart from changes like LED DRLs where the fog lamps used to be, LED taillamps and a new paint option - Ruby Red. The other five options - Orchid Brown, Cosmic Black, Titanium Silver, Obsidian Grey and Splash White - remain unchanged.

Inside, the D-Max V-Cross now gets a 6-way power adjustable driver’s seat, a reversing camera and new dual-tone interiors with black leather upholstery on seats. Other features like Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Traction Control System (TCS) and cruise control are only available on the High variant. Automatic climate control, electrically folding and adjustable ORVMs and keyless entry continue to be there on the list of features. Over the features on the Standard variant, the High variant gets LED DRLs, LED taillamps, electronic 6-way adjustable driver seat, black leather upholstery and a chrome rear bumper.

2018 Isuzu D-Max V-Cross

The 2.5-litre 4-cylinder diesel engine which produces 134PS of power at 3,600rpm and 320Nm of torque at 1,800-2,800rpm remains unchanged. This motor is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. Other details like the 16-inch alloy wheels, front disc/rear drum brake setup, rear leaf springs and the shift on the fly 4-wheel drive system remain the same. The D-Max V-Cross rivals the Tata Xenon XT and the Mahindra Scorpio Getaway in the Indian market but is more expensive and better equipped than both.
