Q. Which variant is better 4x4 MT or 4x4 AT, and why - Fortuner?

Get the automatic it you have a lot of city run.It comes with pedal shifters too so you can change gears accordingly.But if there's not much of city runs in bumper to bumper traffic for you you can opt for the manual.Also if you are chauffeur driven then you can opt for the manual.One thing to be noted here that although fortuner is such a heavy vehicle,you would be surprised to see that the clutch action is so light and the gears are slick.Which is amazing for a car of this size so the 6 speed manual gearbox is brilliant and it is 2-2.5 lacs cheaper than the automatic 4×4.it also comes with an IMT(intelligent manual transmission) which happens to bring the engine speed and vehicle speed at a same speed in order to give you smooth shifts

4X4 MT is better because in AT it feels bored while driving such a powerful beast without changing gears by your hands. MT model is also good and is helpful in the off-road driving and make it easy.

MT is better because less fuel and better for mountain raod and easy to start during weak battary manual is strong than AT but AT is less effort but high fuel consume and faster than MT
