4X4 improves traction in extreme driving conditions, such as snow, mud, rocks, and other scenarios that can take control on the car difficult. By engaging both sets of wheels, traction and control improve. It gives additional weight contributes to a better grip on the road. So, 4X4 is great for those who often tackles off-road. On the other hand, the added power and weight of 4X4 and AWD systems require more fuel, making them less fuel-efficient than their 2WD counterparts. So, if you want this car only for highway and city purpose then the 4X2 drive type is sufficient.
