The basic difference between the two is the number of cylinders installed in the engine. The 4-cylinder is more balanced and makes fewer vibrations in comparison to the 3-cylinder engine. The 4-cylinder engine gives a more consistent acceleration as compared to the 3-cylinder engine. Rest the performance of the engine depends on the driving conditions. Mahindra TUV300 is offered with a 3-cylinder engine only.
