  • Q. Is DCT better than other transmissions? Is maintenance is costly or average like other transmissions.
    Dillip | 2 years ago

The dual-clutch transmission is a bit on the heavier side as it has a lot of moving parts and gears comparatively. There are two clutches that controls even and odd gear ratio with the first one getting an odd set of gear. It also has two transmission shafts that control those gear ratios which are already divided the odd one being inside the even and longer. Compared to an AMT, the gearshifts on the DCT are jerk free and smooth and as there are no breaks in transmission, it has better efficiency. Moreover, Renault Triber gets a 5-speed 'Easy-R' AMT. For the exact maintenance costs, we'd suggest you to connect with the nearest authorized service center in your city.

    • Avoid buying a Renault Tribeca.

Avoid buying a renault tribeca.I bought this car in kolkata two years ago.The car has an ordinary appearance, But one benefit is that it has decent ground clearance. You have to spend a lot of money on gas, And the car doesn't get excellent mileage. The performance of the car and the renault service also make me unhappy. The tires are extremely fragile and were repeatedly punched on the road. You will have a difficult time connecting with renault's roadside help over the phone in the event of a breakdown.

    • Good thing

My uncle owns a renault triber, He has a family of six, So he thought this car would be good for his family and budget.Triber is a good vehicle. It picks up less at first.Yet, It offers a reasonable mileage of 17 to 18 km per litre if you drive it smoothly.A good thing is comfort. If you drive more quickly, Your mileage falls to 13 to 14 kilometers per liter.

      Body design

Very nice car in this segment, Body design much better than other car of this series. But engin capacity small issue, 1ltr engine not capable for 7seater, 1.2ltr engin turbocharged best option for this car.
