    Zigwheels | 4 months ago

As you are looking for a car with an automatic transmission. The cars cannot be compared in terms of the performances however, the Kia Seltos will be made available in three automatic (CVT, 7-speed DCT and 6-speed AT) transmissions on offer. On the other hand, the MG Hector would be made available with a 6-speed DCT transmission only. In terms of versatile transmission, Kia Seltos would be a better pick.

  • Q. My daily average km drive is 30 kms. I have already booked a petrol DCT, but it has come to my notice that DCT isn't a reliable, it heats yup if you are stuck in a bumper to bumper traffic. Should I shift to a diesel automatic?
    Zigwheels
    Zigwheels | 2 weeks ago

Firstly, a diesel car is suggested only when you have a daily long run of a distance of 50km. The petrol automatic variant is the most suitable option because it uses two clutches, it switches gears faster than a manual or automatic transmission, so there is no lag because of an interruption of power to the engine. This makes it possible to speed up and slow down faster than with the other two transmissions. Moreover, you can have a test drive of the cars for a better idea of comfort and drive quality by visiting the nearest dealer in your city. • Q. CAN YOU SUGGEST ME THE BEST VARIANT FOR MILEAGE IN MANUAL TRANSMISSION , ALSO DIESEL OR PETROL - Seltos?
    Zigwheels
    Zigwheels | 1 month ago

Selecting between the petrol and diesel fuel type would depend on your daily or average monthly running with the car. If you drive for an average of around 50 kilometres or more in a day then we'd recommend you to go with the diesel engine as they have better fuel efficiency and consume lesser fuel compared to the petrol engines resulting in cheaper running costs. On the other hand, if you drive less, then you may opt for the petrol engine. The Seltos comes with three engines: a set of 1.5-litre petrol and diesel along with a 1.4-litre Turbo GDI petrol motor. The 1.5-litre naturally aspirated (NA) petrol engine develops 115PS and 144Nm. The diesel engine develops 115PS and 250Nm while the 1.4-litre Turbo GDI motor churns out 140PS and 242Nm. The 1.4-litre petrol engine is exclusively available with the GT-Line. As for the variant, we'd suggest you to go with the "X" trim as it offers a good value for the money in both Tech and GT-Line. Moreover, we'd recommend taking a test drive of the car for a better insight into the performance, comfort and compatibility.
