  • Q. I am 6ft 1inch tall and planning a compact sedan. I am slightly inclined towards Amaze and Aura. I'll be driving and rarely shifting to the rear seats. Which of the two would be a better suited for me? Prefered Fuel type - Petrol, Not looking for a daily commuter but more of a weekend/outstation ride so can do with Manual aswell, but no compromise on comfortable smooth ride and mileage.

Both Honda Amaze and Hyundai Aura are one of the best options in the compact sedan section. Honda, well known for the performance will give good power output compared to Hyundai. Moreover, Hyundai is well known for mileage and reliability. So, if you are looking for performance and comfort than Honda Amaze will be a good option and if you are concerned for the mileage and a family reliable car with good features than Hyundai Aura will be a good option. Both i20 CVT Sporta/Asta as well as Honda Amaze V CVT( prefer this over SCVT as it has 15 inch alloy wheels and will give you smoother and comfortable ride over bumpy roads) I would vote for V CVT instead of I20 for 2 reasons:1) Drive comfort and smoothness - is way ahead of Hyundai i202) Boot is 420 litres -- even if you do add CNG later - you have a lot of space left to use for luggatei20 -- is also a very powerful car - though the handling is a bit rough - but you won't get much space left if you add a CNG down the line. Both are good for long drives. if well maintained , would easily last you 10 years.

You can choose Either Diesel or Petrol CVT , in "V CVT' version . V variants offers you best value for your money as you get standard safety features plus there are 15-inch alloy wheels, fog lamps, a Bluetooth-enabled music system, auto climate control, engine start/stop button and keyless entry, among other feature. Although top end variant of Amaze is Vx but not offered in CVT. Even Diesel CVT is offered first in the segment Our advise for you is to go for after market Reverse parking camera and infotainment system will give you the best option in goodies of your choice.
