Definitely. the kids can easily relax at the back.. even you can consider 1 avg adult sitting at the back with an older child, there shouldn't be any complaints for comfort. this is from my personal experience. I am not which variant you are considering for a long drive, but I would recommend a petrol version. the engine is butter smooth. Suspension is decent. consider 3rd row experience same as innova on rough roads. leg room is pretty decent as well. hope I have answered your question. happy travel

Yes easily, but you cant adjust 7 adults and 2 children comfortably but 5 adults and 3 kids can sit comfortably and In terms of safety brb got 4 stars high speed stability at 160 kmh is flat as it can get handling and acceleration is brilliant too and i have done 1200 km in a day with 6 adults and 2 kids and maintaining the top speed of 130kmh + on the highway  without any fuss and no one was uncomfortable during that journey

Cramped is my answer rest is upto u how well you can accommodate the excess number of passengers. For seven adults still it's fine. Depends on the road conditions too. Besides for 9 people there will be hardly any space left for luggage then. All the best. Update your review once back from the trip.

You can fit in, but won't be comfortable, and won't have space for any luggage. One option could be using a luggage/ski carrier for luggage.

Its absolutely safe. It has good braking power, stability and a comfortable ride. But 7 adults and 2 kids will be a squeeze, considering you will have luggage and the distance is over 300kms

Max Capacity is 7 people. Combinations can be 5 adults + 2 kids, or at the max 6 adults of avg built with 2 children. 7 adults with kids, even Innova would be a squeeze.
