I bought my etios vxd diesel 2.5years back and driven 34000kms. Right from the begining I am feeling lack of power and pick up for my car especially AC on. Is there any solution for my problem? Basically I heard of Etios diesel is having power and pick up.

Its felt to be under powered with full complement of passengers and luggage with AC. But you can always drive in low gears and tap the engine power around 2000 rpm then it will be ok. You need to understand the vehicle and its engine characteristics to have a satisfactory drive, In short you need to be patient and then you can get good results without much of engine noise.

I think, to tap the best mileage, Etios engine is rated with low torque in higher gears. We need to shift down to lower gears to match the right torque. Otherwise in highways it's smooth with good mileage.

Infact, it is comparitively less weight than others. So technically speaking the power and torque is enough for its weight, bcoz if there is more power added to such light car, it is unsafe while driving in corners. So technically this is right amount of power and torque for etios.

Instant pickup is so great that around 2000 rpm you get full power on the other hand like suzuki swift you get that on 4000-5000 rpmyou will not feel that low until you have 5 people
