Q. My amaze (petrol CVT) is giving mileage of 9 kmpl in city. Is there any way to increase it's mileage.

@ Chetan | Yes you R right. I have a amaze petrol CVT. and my driving style is most manner full. ane all most in eco light. i am getting 11 kmpl in MID, But tank to tank real mileage is 9.5 kmpl.

@ Sudheer | You have to : 1) ensure best grade of engine oil 10W40 - - religiously replaced every 6,000 kms2) ensure original OEM spark plugs OR NGK Iridium spark plugs 3) ensure all Belts ( timing, engine, AC ) are firm ( replace after 15/20k as per the service manual with engineers at honda service center)4) Ensure AC alternator* belt, ignition /timing etc. working well5) replace Air filter, Engine oil filter, Cabin (ac) filter as per schedule -- do not save money on these.Now -- its upto your driving style : I have an Amaze 2015 SAT Petrol model -- I always drive with ECO mode visible ( don't overdo the accelerator and brakes -- go easy and accelerate gradually accelerate) -- and I easily get 11 to 12 kmpl with AC on ( not all the way up -- midway) , and 13 to 14.5 kmpl w/o AC . I do use DRIVE mode ( non ECO) but its only 30% of the time.

@ Sujeet | I have been driving for 13 years and this is my 5th car. I am getting 9.8 kmpl in Hyderabad. I usually drive short distances (avg. 10 km) and the traffic is usually high in my neighborhood. I think CVTs are not for Indian roads if you look for mileage.
