Renault offers the Kwid in five variants: Std, RXE, RXL, RXT and Climber. While the first four variants are offered with a 0.8-litre engine, the 1.0-litre engine is limited to the RXL, RXT and Climber variants. Even the AMT is limited to the 1.0-litre engine option. The Renault Kwid is offered with two petrol engine options: a 54PS 0.8-litre unit and a 68PS 1.0-litre option. Both engines come mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. Even if you buy 1000, the engine performance is poor. Just slightly more powerful than 800, but lower mileage. For city commute 800 is sufficient. Highway or fully loaded car will need 1L engine.

Go in for 1000cc as 800cc is sluggish
