Q. I test drove TATA Nexon XZA+ AMT and FORD Ecosport Titanium Plus AT and I found the Turbo lag pronounced in Nexon and the gear changes not smooth. With out any limitation for budget between these 2 which to buy

The reason for the different experience in the automatic transmission of these 2 cars is due to the different tech used. Nexon has an AMT and EcoSport has torque converter. AMT works just like manual transmission but the microcontroller changes the gears for you.I own a Nexon diesel XZA+ and am very happy with the performance and mileage. Torque converter will not give you good mileage. If you want performance, go for EcoSport, if you want more value for money, better mileage, better music system, go for Nexon.

Have you tried Mercedes same thing in automatic car . Nexon given AMT gear box it give j**k high than CVT : it has three mode if you not wont any jurk try sport mode and feel like CVT engine.in this segment and price nexon is best in class otherwise go ford. Ford space is less and not feel rich , plastic which use by ford not world class in indian segment. Which i feel personally. Try XZA+ Diesel. I think it best fit on you

Dont' ever dare to touch Nexon, you will be burnt. I have made my worst decision of my life by buying nexon xza+ petrol. Terrible experiencec, vibrates like a lorry, weird sounds while braking, two visits to SC in a month. Service manager says these are normal in tata cars.
