Q. I have Hyundai Aura SX+ AMT. From last few months when I shift from drive to neutral or reverse it makes a khatak sound, and while reversing in reverse while releasing brake paddle slowly makes khatak khatak sound, Hyundai says its normal with AMT. Any one of you have this problem?

Not very sure about Hyundai AMT, I have celerio AMT which is quite smooth since last 6 years. I am also planning to change my car to Aura AMT, however confused about AMT performance. Positive part is Hyundai is offering an warranty of 3-5 years on AMT and that is an added benefit. But, what if the noise that it makes in your car becomes worse after 3 years and will push to change the AMT box? I had once a test drive with aura AMT about an year back and it was smooth. But, surprisingly, there is no test drive option available in Bhubaneswar now, although not sure about other areas of the country. Can company people say why should it make noise in AMT when it is not in Maruti Suzuki?

I have already shown to service center. They are saying its normal in amt version.
