Kia Seltos gets a 1.5-litre petrol engine in the HT-Line that makes 115PS of maximum power and 144Nm of peak torque mated to a CVT. • Q. Which diesel variant of Kia Seltos is worth buying HTE or HTK?
    Balakrishnan
    Balakrishnan | 1 month ago

HTE is the base variant, gives most value for money for budget buyers. Gets 2 air bags, ABS EBD, power windows, reverse sensors, BS6 engines, disc brakes on both front & rear wheels (only in diesel) waiting period is 4 to 5 months after booking with a token amount of ₹25,000 as kia doesn't make money on the base variant. you can get additional fittings like DRL, reverse camera, alloy wheels, for a few thousands. If your budget is higher, you can get the HTK or HTK plus.

  • Q. I am planning to buy Kia Seltos HT line (1.5 litre engine), however unsure of performance after first/second servicing. Can an owner please advise if there is an issue that exists after first or second service-either in engine or any other aspect such as transmission, suspension etc.?

If you are looking for a no-nonsense city commuter car with ease of driving then surely you may opt for the 1.5-litre petrol-powered Kia Seltos. It's a compact SUV that looks super promising, offers a lot and from our first drive experience lacks very little. Apart from the strong engines, the Seltos also has a pliant ride quality. At low speeds, you do hear the suspension working, especially over sharp bumps, but you don’t get thrown around or feel uncomfortable. As the speed rises the ride gets flatter, with well-controlled body movements which makes the Seltos a good long-distance cruiser. Moreover, we'd recommend taking a test drive of the car for a better insight into the performance, comfort and compatibility. • Q. I am confused, I drive around 25000 Km/Year, due to current scenario and govt regulations, Which car is best suitable for me in 1500cc segment, Petrol or Diesel - Seltos?
    Aadithfast6
    Aadithfast6 | 3 weeks ago

Even we had that confusion my mum wanted the diesel seltos because the diesel engine was an older and reliable engine, the diesel engine doesn't heat up as much as the the petrol engine too, then another advantage is more mileage. But the petrol variant has way more power and it comes with those transmission modes in the GT line. There is a high chance of diesel cars getting faced out in a few years, so in this scenario if you have bought a diesel variant, in the future the car may lose its resale value and it would be harder to maintain. In the end, go for the petrol as we did, it's absolutely mind boggling (#faisalkhan lol)

As per the requirement, we'd suggest you to go with the 1.5-litre diesel engine of Kia Seltos. The diesel engines are more efficient and use 15−20% less fuel meaning cheaper running costs. The 1.5-litre diesel engine makes 115PS of power and 250Nm of peak torque mated to a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic gearbox.
