The 250 Duke sits in a comfortable spot in the KTM India lineup. Pricewise the 200 Duke retails at Rs 1.49 (ex-showroom, Delhi) while the 390 Duke costs Rs 2.39 lakh. The 250 Duke, at Rs 1.78 lakh, cost just 29,000 more than the 200 Duke. So if you can stretch your budget by that much, the 250 Duke is the way to go. The 390 Duke meanwhile, sits in a different segment altogether with its higher price difference, more power and features. The KTM 390 Duke has always come across as a value for money product and the new variant takes the VFM quotient a notch up as it looks a lot more irresistible now. It gets an LED headlight unit and colour display that we like a lot and also handles beautifully with its aptly tuned suspension setup. Also, while it may not be as quick as the earlier 390, it certainly is a lot more refined. The 390 Duke is a wild beast and is meant for a lot more experienced riders and thrill seekers. The 250 Duke trades the KTM's rortiness for refinement, and we think, is all the better for it. It makes a compelling prospect if you are looking for a premium, comfortable and dynamic runaround on a budget under Rs two lakh. When it comes to the best you can buy in this price range, the KTM 250 Duke is there at the very top.

When it comes to daily commute facing the real traffic on a daily basis - Duke 250 has only 1 advantage which is shorter handlebar which makes it easier to do cutting and riding zig zag leaving behind others and easily overtaking fellow riders/drivers. Advantage which Duke 390 has is basically dual channel abs which helps you a lot in emergency braking conditions and is much safer option.. on top of it... It is more powerpacked.. It has enhanced TFT display and Bluetooth connectivity which gives you an ease of changing songs, increasing & decreasing volume.. receiving and declining calls from the handlebar itself.. in city traffic its slow moving traffic and its a big hassle to frequently operate your phone wether you have to receive calls.. disconnect existing call or even decline the call... With the help of TFT display you get to know who is calling... wether or not to receive call and you can do all sorts of stuff from the handlebar itself without removing your hands off from the throttle, clutch or brakes. But the only disadvantage is a broad handlebar... RC390 and other bikes have a really short handlebar which helps them to just overtake from a narrow path between two vehicles whereas Duke390 might fail to do so...
