@ Bryan | I have the Low seat on the 2014 800xc and it fits me fine at 5'9' I am on my toes though. The 800xr is lower and unless you are going to do more aggressive offroad riding then dirt roads and dirt trails I bet you would be fine on the XR with the appropriate tires. I have used the Shinko 705s on my Kawasaki Versys as did my son and we road some rather rocky technical terrain with that setup. The 800XR is a more capable bike then the Versys in my opinion. I also have the BMW G650GS and that has a very low seat height that my wife at 5'6' is flatfooted on.
