Honda Grazia Highlights
The Grazia is powered by the same 124.9cc petrol engine seen on the Activa 125. It produces 8.5PS of power and 10.54Nm of peak torque, mated to a CVT transmission. It gets 12-inch 90/90 tyre at the front and a 12-inch 90/100 tyre at the rear. Braking is via 130mm drums on both sides with standard CBS. A front 190mm disc brake is available as an option.
Design and Features
Honda has launched the new Grazia at Rs 57,897 (ex-showroom, Delhi). It is Honda’s second offering in the 125cc segment and will be placed next to the Activa 125. It looks quite similar to the Dio, but has sharper and bolder features. At the front, it gets LED headlamps housed inside a dual-tone front apron. The rest of the body gets sharp character lines to make it look sportier and attract a younger audience. Adding to its sporty character is an all-digital instrument console with a 3-step eco speed indicator. The scooter gets a 4-in-1 ignition lock with a seat opener switch. The Grazia is equipped with telescopic front forks and a monoshock unit at the rear. It will be offered in three variants- Standard, Standard Alloy and Deluxe. The scooter gets six colour options.
Suzuki Access 125: The Access 125 is a good looking scooter with best-in-class engine refinement and performance along with lively handling and a good list of features. But it still has some shortcomings like a stiff ride and Suzuki’s limited service support.
Vespa 125: The Vespa is a scooter with retro-modern styling. Built on a monocoque frame with minimum overhangs, it turns easily and being mated to a peppy engine, it is a breeze to ride. The Vespa 125 is a nice product, but because of its high price tag and limited service network, it lags behind its rivals.
With a price tag of Rs 57,897, The Grazia is more affordable than the Vespa and a bit more expensive than the Access 125. For that extra over the Access, you get a fresh design with all the modern gimmicks like full LED headlamps and digital instrument cluster along with Honda’s reliability and service support. So, if you are looking for a fuss-free head turner, this might be the one for you.
