With an emphasis on lowering emissions, Changes have been made to the engine to increase mileage.With two fuel injectors instead of one, Each cylinder is now supplied, Which improves combustion and increases savings.The engine also has variable valve timing on the intake and exhaust stages.Again, This is intended to increase the engine's combustion efficiency and hence drastically reduce emissions.
