Key Things to Know about BR-V

Upside
  • 7 seats, practical and spacious, convenient petrol-CVT, good ride quality
Downside
  • Sub-par interior quality, no parking aids as standard, overpriced
Expert's Conclusion

The Honda BR-V is one of the more comfortable 7-seater SUVs/Crossovers in its segment. While it may not have the off-road ability of some of its competition – it makes a good case for itself as an urban crossover.

Honda BRV is an assuming

4.3

Honda brv is an assuming and almost stealth like smooth on roads.Light on drive and absolutely a wannabe schumacher.Unlike what the authorised dealership will have you believe, Honda brv after almost 6 years of usage still is a silent killer on the roads. And yes take it offroading as well.No problems.

This car is the first car

This car is the first car in our house whose performance is the best among all the cars. Its pickup is also very good. Its look is so impressive that people will like it on seeing it.This is a 7 seater car in which you can sit 7 to 8 people very comfortably. Its boot space is also given well. Its luggage space is the best in terms of 7 seater. Its diesel mileage is also very good. The company gives its mileage of 21.9 but it gives real mileage of 23 to 24.

Prashant's BR-V gives mileage of 24 kmpl

Q. I am comparing XL6 and BR-V (Auto/CRV Model), considering all the practicalities and reviews for a 6 member family (4 adult + 2 Kids), I found BR-V as better option. How much weightage should be considered for lack of infotainment system n BR-V. What is the safety rating of BR-V. Further, since the sale volume of BR-V is less and speculation of its discontinuation are on, can it be considered as good option now.
  • You have correctly rated BRV as a better choice while comparing it with XL6. I am using BRV ever since it was launched in June 2016 (I have V variant in Diesel, Manual). In my personal opinion, BRV is a very versatile, comfortable, fuel efficient and safe 7-seater when compared to any of Maruti's models be it Ertiga or XL6. Coming to your question, I consider Infotainment system as just an accessory and not a parameter to decide my choice of car. Simply because a vehicle should be good enough to keep the passengers safe in case of an incident rather than not offering the gadgetry, which anyway is present in most of our smartphones. You can always opt for a better after-market product which can replace the stock digipad. On the safety front, Honda BRV is rated 4/5 stars on Global NCAP safety ratings whereas XL6 has not even made an appearance there. This is one of the safest crossover/MUV in the market. If you have any more questions, I'll be glad to answer. Best wishes!
  • Okay sir brv gets touchscreen infotainment system on the vx model but as your looking for a automatic that is v trim and the good thing the Honda has done is that you can opt for caska touchscreen infotainment straight from the dealership for about 35 thousand on any trim level i have brv v trim and bought the infotainment system for 30 thousand from the showroom along with plenty of accessories Honda offers for the car, and the safety ratings for the ncap is 4 stars. If you want to ask any further inquiry you can reach to me on my Instagram imohi01.
  • I have the Alpha automatic XL6 and it looks far more better than the BRV. The inside frills and features are much more appealing to the eye . The externals are also much more modern with LED headlights hence i would recommend the XL6. i suggest walk down or drive down to the nearest Nexa showroom and test ride the XL6, am sure you and your family will love it .

BR-V Key Highlights

Variants: The BR-V is available in a total of 9 variants - 5 petrol and 4 diesel. The petrol variants are priced between Rs 9.22 lakh and 12.48 lakh while the diesel starts at Rs 10.16 lakh and goes all the way up to Rs 13.39 lakh (all prices ex-showroom Delhi). In terms of standard equipment, the BR-V is rather well equipped except for the base E variant. Projector headlamps, tilt steering, reclineable middle row, dual front airbags and ABS (not available on E petrol) are standard across the range. Features like rear parking sensors, sliding middle row, climate control, three row AC and electrically adjustable ORVMs are available on variants that sit above the E. The rear parking camera and the Digipad touchscreen infotainment system, however, are only reserved for the top VX variant.
