It retains its stainless steel slash-cut exhausts. A dash of the modern appeal comes with full-LED lighting, a semi-digital instrument cluster, ride-by-wire, and two riding modes. All these bikes are good enough. The Sportster 1200 Custom is the latest entrant to the Harley-Davidson India portfolio and replaced the Sportster 883 that was discontinued from our market. It is powered by the same 1,200cc V-twin motor as seen as on the Forty-Eight and with the Sportster 1200 Custom, the American bikemaker will be targeting mature riders in the hunt for a relaxed mile muncher. As compare to Forty Eight, it gets a way big fuel tank and as it gets spoke wheels, it is more comfortable and suitable for cruising. Forty Eight, the nightster is unlike your normal Harley which swims in a pond of chrome. The nighster is all about stealth with matte-finish a no polished surface. If we talk about Harley Davidson Iron 883, it is basic and a budget way into Harley ownership. But the bike weighs around 252 kg which is quite heavy so the rider needs to be professional and experienced otherwise he/she might feel difficulties in manoeuvring while passing the city and its traffic. Iron 883 is more of a controlled ride and forty eight is more of a ride over riders take, iron 883cc engine is more decent and keep under controlled type of bike, while the 1200cc of the forty eight is a more faster engine, both are good at short rides and a little bit of cruising, but if you have a really good 6 lines highway and a large distance to cover everyday i would recommend you to take a look at the softail family which is updated now, it has good collection , but for India they have provided only 4 bikes this 2020, so in short for if you are planning to get the sportster (iron, or forty eight or roadster or 1200custom they sure are good round town bikes and for local errands, ) if you are doing 100+ speeds on the highway along with your sporty bike riders, i would strongly recommend you to take a look at the softail family.

It solely depend upon you, For example if you love to ride often or only for weekend ride,Generally HD call for service after 6months or around 4,000 kms done (people go after 6months where tough to cross 4,000kms if you are doing weekend rides)Maintained cost roughly 8K-11K (except any major parts changes)using Iron for daily use is not wise in city like Bangalore due to air cooled engine & almost all these heavy machine heated up like anything in traffic.
