We spend some time with the Tata Tiago XZA automatic to decide if it’s worth your extra money.
The Tiago is arguably one of the nicest looking cars that Tata makes. It’s got nice flowing lines, a pointy shark like nose and rev happy, raspy 1.2-litre petrol engine. The XZA badge tells you that we are driving the AMT equipped XZA variant.
With traffic and travel times only on the rise an automatic makes a lot of sense today. And with the cost effectiveness of an AMT transmission it’s no surprise that there are a lot of automatic options, even in the small and medium hatchback segments, to choose from.
We spent a couple of days in the city and out on the open road to see how this transmission suits the Tiago and if it’s worth considering it over the manual option.
