I have nexon automatic 2020 model and the average in city max 15 km per day is 10.3 to 10.8, Sometimes for larger distance it gives an average of 12.5 to 12.8.
I am having the XZ+ manual variant and I am getting mileage of around 16-18kmpl on highways and 12-15kmpl in City normal traffic and in extreme traffic its 9-11kmpl extreme. Mileage depends on the Road conditions, traffic conditions and mostly on Driving style, Drive on the Economy mode in city and extreme traffic you will get a better mileage.

Atc Traders @ Ramesh | Hill Assist on Tata Naxon AMT is a big lie on all variants of Naxon AMT. The Way the Transmission is presently designed it is impossible. Why I say impossible is explained below:1, Basically Construction of gear train is same as of Manual Gear. That is both AMT and Manual Gear train have a gear box of various ratios between drive shaft and driven shaft and a Clutch between Engine Flywheel and Gear train.Only difference between AMT and Manual Transmission (MT) is that what we are doing manually in MT, that is, press clutch and engage or shift gear, is being done in AMT by pre-programmed Microprocessor assisted automatic system.2. Tata's Engineers who added a creep function (slightly higher idle speed when clutch is engaged) thought that the car will not roll back when going uphill - named it Smart Hill Assist, you will realize after reading this note was IMMATURE THINKING. 3, By Hill Assist in automobile technology, it means, when on uphill, once the car is Standstill and break paddle is released - it will freeze in location without Rolling Back. 4. Those who drive a car, very well know that clutch is always released slowly to avoid jerk or lugging and stopping of engine on sudden application of load. Similarly in Tata Nexon AMT variants, the clutch is released slowly – but automatically. 5. Further with gear shift leaver in Auto Forward or Reverse position and Foot on Brake Paddle, in AMT variation of Naxon, the Clutch is disengaged to avoid wearing of clutch plates. 6. Therefore when driving is bumper to bumper traffic on slopes, once the break is pressed to stop vehicle -6.1 The Clutch gets disengaged (Brake Pressed state).6.2 Creep is zero (low idle speed)7. So once the foot is lifted off the brake paddle to move again.7.1 The clutch engages slowly (takes 2 to 3 or more seconds). The car start rolling back due to gravity.7.2 Depending upon the steepness of slope the speed of Rolling back depends.7.3 By the time the clutch engages and creep starts, the car has already picked up certain speed in reverse direction.7.4 Now the Creep, when put in action by the Microprocessor, has to do two functions - First counter the Momentum of Car in reverse direction to bring it to zero and then move forward. I have ZXA+ and have experienced thatAA. Even on slight slopes of 3 to 4 degree (ramp of my house) - it always roll back few feet and then starts moving forward (without my accelerating) under its creep function.BB, If the slope is steep (approximately 40 Degree - at parking in my office) - the car rolls back and does not stop - I had to press brakes to avoid hitting wall which is approx. 3 meters behind and can only drive up the slope by help of hand brake (1. Pull hand brake - 2. Engage gear shift lever to Auto 3. Lift foot of break paddle. 4. Weight for few seconds for Clutch to engage. 5. Give slight race so that slight load on Engine, which is experienced by sound of Engine and vehicle tends to move. 6. Release hand brake and 7 Press accelerator to move the vehicle to parking position - Thus experience of driving a Naxon AMT on slopes is worst than driving a MT vehicle up the slope.SO THE SMART HILL ASSIST IS IMMATURE IDEA OF IMMATURE DESIGNERS OF TATA MOTORS.Please note that I am neither an automobile Engineer and nor working or writing this comment on behalf of any competitor of Tata Motors/ Automobile Manufacturer. I am 70 years old just A Graduate Electrical Engineer, a small Businessman, with lot of experience in all three Core Engineering Fields (Civil, Electrical and Mechanical Engineering) who purchased Naxon ZXA+. And if Tata Motors want I can build (design) a True Hill Assist System for their AMT with minimal additional cost ( habit is to think from First Principle and never say no - to any task....Read More
You can use the accelerator and brake at the same time.Rpm wont go beyond 1500 helps to prevent roll back.
The Tata Nexon isn’t just a great option fo
car buyers, it has also proven to be a strong seller for Tata Motors. Thanks to the Nexon’s value for money packaging, practicality and aesthetic appeal, sales of the compact SUV have been continually on the rise. The only thing missing was the option of an automatic transmission and now, that gap’s been filled as well. We’ve taken both, the Nexon petrol AMT and Nexon diesel AMT for drive to see if Tata has got the tuning of the Nexon automatic right and if you should consider buying either one. ...Read More
