With just a few, tasteful mods, this custom 650cc Royal Enfield bike takes us back in time and how!

Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 with Yamaha RD350 bodykit

Bossyamakaze, a bike customisation workshop from Karnataka, has dropped a video on Instagram, showcasing a modified Royal Enfield Interceptor 650, made to look like the Yamaha RD350

The bike features a Yamaha RD350-inspired body kit along with a paint job that’s similar to the legendary 2-stroke bike. What gives away the bike’s true identity are the graphics on the tank and side panels having Interceptor 650 written on them. But even they are in a font that's similar to the one on the RD350.

The body kit includes chromed-out front and rear fenders. Even the telescopic fork and spoked wheels are given chrome treatment. It features twin straight-pipe exhausts, and yes, these are also finished in chrome. The headlight is halogen, it has bulb-type indicators and taillight which resemble the RD350’s lighting setup. Moreover, even the handlebar and seats are also customized to look like the RD350.

Except for these aesthetic changes and the exhaust, the hardware and mechanicals of the bike remain the same as the stock Interceptor 650. The parallel-twin 648cc air/oil-cooled engine can be clearly seen in the video.

We all are familiar with the popularity of the legendary Yamaha RD350. The bike has been discontinued for more than three decades and people are still crazy about it. In fact, our very own ‘Captain Cool’ M.S. Dhoni owns multiple RD350s and has also added another one to his collection, a few months back. We have seen people’s passion towards restoring the bike, and have also witnessed it being sold at unrealistically high prices, all because of its immense popularity.
