2015 Ford Focus ST teased ahead of Goodwood

Ford has teased its new 2015 Focus ST hatchback ahead of its international debut at the 2014 Goodwood Festival of Speed. The company’s flagship hatchback will be included in the First glance category with professional drivers driving it on the West Sussex hill climb on all three days.

The American automaker has released a small teaser image of the new 2015 Focus ST which shows the new car being equipped with slender headlamps and a revised grille. Ford has not released any other information apart from confirming that the 2015 Focus ST will benefit from technology and quality improvements revealed earlier this year for the updated Ford Focus.

Ford has remained tight-lipped on the engine specifications. However, a 2.0-litre EcoBoost four-cylinder engine is likely to run under the hood of the 2015 Ford Focus ST to deliver 250PS of power and 350Nm of torque. The American carmaker has also confirmed that a diesel Focus ST is also in works. Reports suggest a 2.0-litre TDCi engine will hide beneath the skin of this new car to produce 184PS of power.

Ford has also teamed up with Sony to stage the first ever ‘virtual versus real’ race on the hill. On its first run each day, the 2015 Ford Focus ST will compete against the Focus ST featured in the Gran Turismo 6 (GT6) game for PlayStation 3.
