As a car, the Crysta is way better in terms of drive quality, power, space and finishing. But it comes at a almost 3-5 lac dearer price tag. Crysta will also get you better second hand price post 3-5 years of ownership.... BUT.... nothing like the road presence of an XUV500. I have been following the car since its launch in 2012 but only now I feel like Mahindra got its drive quality right. XUV500 is super loaded in terms of features and cost a whole 3-5 lacs less at comparable models.. how I decided between the two was... when i get off the vehicle and hand the key to the valet guy.. the valet should love taking care of my beautiful car.. and you can make an Innova as premium as you want, the valet will always drive it like a van!

The Crysta has been a beacon of reliability. It scores well across all parameters, from design to engine refinement to the comfort of the passengers. You also get a bevy of additional features. The Innova’s aftersales service is unparalleled to any other manufacturer. No wonder people still prefer this luxurious people carrier to big and cumbersome SUVs. On the other hand, like most Mahindra vehicles, the XUV500 offers a lot for the money. Quality is a bit of a hit or a miss, and there are known niggles too. But, that doesn’t take away from the fact that Mahindra’s big boy is a well-packaged SUV for those who love munching miles. It’s about time we got an all-new version, though! We would suggest you to take a test drive in order to clear your all doubts. First of all thats a wrong conparison. First you should decide on, whether you want a mpv or suv. Crysta is an mpv and xuv is suv. Capabilities are totally different. Regarding performance, offroading and anywhere go xuv leads. Being a monocoque it offers a decent ride quality also. But second row ride is better with crysta than xuv. Crysta is a for overall comfort(all rows). In terms of safety, both are almost equal, but xuv is more tough and stable on road and offroad.. Mileage also, xuv leads by some 2kmpl or so. Engine life, both are heavy duty engines. Both have a similar maintenance cost too..Now, regarding resale value, crysta has got more resale value than xuv, thanks to toyota brand name.

If u need comfort then u choose Innova crysta... If u need performance sporty feel and high spec features thn u go for Xuv500.. Xuv500 is also a much comfortable vehicle but only for 5 members... For more than 5 members the comfortable vehicle is Innova

The XUV5OO is a full-fledged 7 seater SUV that has been a trendsetter ever since its launch in 2011 & is one of India’s most awarded SUVs. It is packed with hi-tech features that are not available in vehicles even double its price. This would be a better option to consider if your looking for a SUV over a nice MPV like INNOVA CRYSTA.

Both are good vehicle, Innova is for comfort and xuv will prove off road, also have great road grip compared. and also milage is more than crysta, and in Innova steering will face some issues while applying break and speeds cross 100 kmph

The service cost will range between 7-10k per year and the mileage will be 13kmpl(City + Highway driving type). Not sure how good is Innova Crysta but XUV500 is very good as a car with a very little hiccup in past 3.5years for me. Thanks
