Both are good cars in their own way.Eon became trend setter for Hyundai and was able to sell more than 4000+ vehicles monthly . In entry level hatchback after alto800(which sell about 20000+ vehicles Per month), EON is the second largest seller .If your choice is driven by the india's way who look for low repair cost, high fuel efficiency, reliable and a budget friendly car please go for Alto800.otherwise EON is a good pick. Please remember as appear from the market news after Launch of New Santro ,variant of Eon may go for re entry or a phase out , it is not clear now what next move . In Hatch backs you have many choices in Suzuki as Celerio, wagonR, Alto K10 and in Hyundai Eon, All new Santro and i10

If you are in the market looking for an ideal first car or even a small second car, the Hyundai Eon is worth a look since it packs a unique design and frugal engine options. While it may not be as popular as the Maruti Suzuki Alto twins, the same reason helps you stand out from the crowd too. The Eon is backed by Hyundai’s build quality and extensive service network. Both engine options are frugal in nature and the 0.8-litre can also be had with an LPG kit as well. Finally, it’s compact dimensions should make it a breeze to drive in our crowded cities too.
