Selecting between the petrol and diesel fuel type would depend on your daily or average monthly running with the car. If you drive for an average of around 50 kilometres or more in a day then we'd recommend you to go with the diesel engine as they have better fuel efficiency and consume lesser fuel compared to the petrol engines resulting in cheaper running costs. On the other hand, if you drive less, then you may opt for the petrol engine. Hector gets 1.5-litre turbo petrol and a 2.0-litre diesel motor. The 1.5-litre petrol unit churns out 143PS of power and 250Nm of torque. It is also offered with a 48V mild-hybrid system which improves fuel efficiency. The 2.0-litre diesel motor, on the other hand, puts out 170PS and 350Nm. Moreover, we'd recommend taking a test drive of the car for a better insight into the performance, comfort and compatibility.
