Q. What is the ground cleareance of Mahindra Scorpio Classic?

The ground clearance of scorpio classic is 209mm but be aware that older scorpio's prior to bs6 had 220mm+. So don't make the mistake in thinking that it is same capability as older. Mahindra has put a plastic def fluid tank (visible easlity if your look on the underside from the driver side). This is a very poor design and 40000 plus replacement part. breaks easily when hit by anything from below. Infact this poor design is also there in mahindra bolero. Thats one of the reasons they donot mention ground clearance officially anywhere. In other words new scorpio classic is same ground clearance as older bolero. But what makes it even worse is that gas tank, def tank are all plastic. Older scorpio had metal diesel tank. BTW the def tank is even lower than the gas tank. They can't find a proper place for def tank in such a big vehcile or probably they didn't what to invest time in doing that. Mahindra seems to have put no thought and effort in designing these vehicles. They can't design or put it properly in such a big vehicle. Maybe they just outsiurced to bosch and bolted whatever bosch proided as cheap.Look at scorpio N, even poorer ground clearance 187mm, almost same as innova. And its DEF tank is hanging below the bumper on rear left, looks ugly and is vulnerable. Note that all def tanks are very costly almost 35000+ for any mahindra vehicle.IMO all mahindra bs6 vehicles are not what they used to be prior to bs6. Be careful
