  • Q. Which is good to buy between Honda Amaze V CVT and Dzire VXi AMT?
    Zigwheels
    Zigwheels | 6 months ago

If you are someone who’d appreciate a smoother drive versus the gear shift head-nod that’s characteristic of the AMT/CVT transmission, then the Amaze should be your pick. On the other hand, the Dzire packs way more features and is a very attractive option over the Amaze with both petrol and diesel engines. Yes, the AMT is not as sophisticated an automatic transmission as the CVT but Maruti has managed to tune it so well that it now leaves very less room to complain.

We would suggest you opt for Honda Amaze V CVT as it is more feature loaded and fun to drive as compared to Maruti Dzire. Although, in terms of maintenance cost and price Maruti Dzire AMT VXI is more affordable as compare to Honda Amaze. • Q. In petrol, good transmission, best engine, build quality and suspension > which is good among Aspire Trend and Amaze S? And also usage is City -> 85% and Highway -> 15%. Thanks in advance for the reply.
    Zigwheels
    Zigwheels | 6 months ago

Here, Aspire would be a beter pick. The 2018 Ford Aspire facelift we drove had the 1.2-litre 3-cylinder petrol engine that produces 96PS of max power and 120Nm of torque, which makes it one of the most powerful engines in its class. It is mated to a new Getrag 5-speed gearbox which, according to Ford, assists in providing a better fuel economy than before. It gets good build quality as well. The premium that the Trend+ warrants is totally justified considering the value proportion of the added goodies over Trend variant. In fact, the Trend+ is certainly among the most value-packed mid-spec variants in the entire sub-4m sedan segment.

  • Q. How is the Amaze VX petrol in terms of performance, is it advisable to go for 1.2 liter petrol engine for usage of more city trips and occasional highway or hill trips with cabin and boot fully loaded also there are some negative reviews on the glove box that it is opening on its own when the car is riding on bad roads, is it so?
    Zigwheels
    Zigwheels | 6 months ago

For city driving, the Honda Amaze VX petrol will be a better pick. However, on highways Amaze petrol gets thirsty and you'll feel a lack of power. Though, as per your requirement, we would suggest you pick for Honda Amaze V CVT diesel as it is a well-rounded package for both city and highway cruising. Do take a test drive in order to clear all your doubts.
