Q. Please tell me about Maruti S-Cross. I don't have too much run occasionally I go for long trips during vacation. I am a force personnel and my job is posting related so I want less maintenance and easy maintenance.

Hi Rajesh, I've been traveling with the S-Cross for a while now. The vehicle has thus far been very low maintenance. Many of the breakable parts (e.g. side mirrors) are used in other models also and hence are fairly inexpensive. Given the spurt in opening up of Nexa showrooms, many Maruti service centers have a separate bay for Nexa cars. Service costs are nominal for a car of this size. The car is responsive to my needs. I've done 3 trips between Bangalore to Kolkata and back and lots of trips between BLR-HYD and BLR-Chennai. I believe Nexa cars now offer both Apple Carplay and Google Auto, so you should be able to take advantage of Google maps once your phone (iPhone or Android) is coupled with the car's infotainment unit. Speech recognition is passable, but i have reason to believe that in the next 6 months, better speech recognition will be available on this car which will enable you to command many features including turning up the AC or tuning to a particular Radio Station via voice. Rear seat is decent and the boot space is generous. The spare tyre goes into the boot, unlike many models where it's hanging outside. All doors take 1L water bottles. If you move with lots of luggage, you can always install Thule luggage carriers. The clincher for me was the disc brakes on all wheels. Its a great family car and I'm very happy with my decision.

Ultimate comfort for family of 5 and very good boot space, driven almost 35000km. Engine is Butter smooth 21kmpl. use only synthetic oil for oil change, 10000km interval , servicing cost 10000 Rs , 2 years of ownership. 853 km in full tank diesel.
