I own a 2014 Toyota Corolla Altis 1.8 GL manual transmission. Which I bought in 2018 used. Before corolla owned civic and vento which was a headache. My family and myself is very happy with the altis. Corolla altis is superb in ride comfort, back seat comfort and there is no h**p in the rear center makes a genuine 5 seater car. Rear seats also have recline function. I am getting 14.5 kmpl in full tank to full tank method.( 590 km in 40 liters). I see people complaining that altis don't have rear AC vents etc. The Corolla Altis AC is a chiller,( the ac compressor is heavy duty in stock) perfect car for the family. I do have a innova crystal too. In seated comfort Corolla Altis takes the crown any day. If someone who wishes to buy a Toyota Corolla Altis. I would strongly recommend it. I personally will recommend the petrol only prefarably petrol manual for its 4 kmpl etc fuel efficiency. Hope someone will find this useful. All. Observation s are from my own personal experience. Thank you

When you talk about "worth"...the ALTIS takes the cake any day....here are my reasons…PRICE (or capital expenditure) is lesser on the Altis than Civic MAINTENANCE (or operational expenditure) can be broken down into 2 parts COST OF SERVICING - this is a no brainer…buying a honda is like raising an elephant.…very high cost of servicing and parts on honda as compared to toyota. Not to mention a much higher rate of failure of parts. overall attitude of service centers, typically governed by company policies, is to extract much money from buyers to mitigate their failure. as opposed to toyota altis, hardly has any failure of parts (at least until 100k kilometeres) service is brilliantCOST OF RUNNING - ends up becoming much lesser for Corolla since a diesel engines will typically have higher maintenance compared to a petrol. so ultimately higher maintenance at higher price vs lower maintenance at lower price. even though price of fuel may look like it evens things out, but you can do a simple distribution of rate of inflation of fuel rates vs. overall OpEx over 5 yrs (typical)Resale value of Hondas are much lesser than that of corolla…worldwide…period.

I have not drived new civic, i have corolla altis. I can share my experience about altis , corolla altis is very reliable car, Toyota's service is also very reliable, rear seats are very comfortable , i have petrol automatic version which is very comfortable to drive, also it has excellent mileage it gives 14 to 15 km/lit . But if u drive properly with constant speed it gives mileage upto 20 km/ liter, looking at Toyota s reliability i will prefer corolla altis
