Hi, I always preferred petrol engines. As it was for my wife and Needed a city car as she did not drive more then 150Km a month, I have the Petrol version of the Tiago nrg and Quite happy with the car and the mileage it gives. Tiago NRG is well built with good ground clearance. It’s a perfect city car to drive around. 3 cylinder engine honestly works well if the car is not loaded but may need to down shift if stuck in traffic with full load. It’s a good car value for money has the looks too. If you need a powerful Tiago go for the Tiago jtp. It’s turbo charged.

Tiago nrg comes with diesel and petrol. Petrol engine feels more peppy. If you have long distances to go, then go for diesel. Diesel has higher torque, lower top speed. Petrol got higher acceleration, lower torque. Vibrations of petrol engine are not so quiet, i feel the thunder which are equivalent to diesel engine. For requirements below 25000 km per year petrol is good. Coming environmental regulations will send diesel in garage for good. Petrol is good choice if want to own it for years to come.
