• Q. I am planning to buy the CVT version & I do go out for mountain trips every 2 months. How good is the suspension? Is driving in the mountains a challenge with CVT - BRV?

Suspension is ideal more on a stiffer side but it's complainant not to comfortable not to stiff just perfect and because of this brv stays stable on Highspeeds, and on to the cvt part yes cvt isn't as responsive as VW DSG gearbox but it's responsive than most automatics for that price and it has option for manual shifting with steering mounted shifters and I tell you what cvt let's you hold the gear for as long as you want like we do in manual transmission so on mountain roads you won't have any issues it would be great and the engine is quite powerful and responsive and it handles good for an Suv so no problems into corners either.

Hope you have made a wise choice by now. BRV with CVT is said to be a great combination. I, however, own a Diesel MT and extremely satisfied with my decision. Since I live in Dehradun and is a regular Hill driver, BRV offers the best in class comfort, Zero body roll and suspension as a breeze. I have done several road trips including ones to Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal and Punjab, BRV's performance has been commendable. With petrolhead under the boot and CVT with paddle shifters, you sure gonna have a great ride up the hills. Best wishes!

The CVT handles those roads well. I am a regular driver on ghats and terrains. It has good ground clearance and an amazing engine. On tough terrains its recommended you use the S mode and control the shifts manually. Michellin Primacy isn't good for rocky roads with gravels and muddy terrains, it looses traction easily, so it is recommended you upgrade it to better on-off road tyres

    Honda BRV is an assuming

Honda brv is an assuming and almost stealth like smooth on roads.Light on drive and absolutely a wannabe schumacher.Unlike what the authorised dealership will have you believe, Honda brv after almost 6 years of usage still is a silent killer on the roads. And yes take it offroading as well.No problems.
