The petrol motor is a 1.4-litre turbocharged unit that’s good for 163PS of power and 250Nm of torque. You can have this engine with a 6-speed manual transmission in the lower variants, or a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic in the top-spec Limited model. Fiat’s acclaimed 2.0-litre Multijet II engine is your second option. With 172PS of power and 350Nm of torque on tap, the diesel Compass can be quite a hoot. The diesel-powered SUV is also available with 4x4 tech, with drive modes for snow, sand and mud. Notably, there’s no diesel automatic variant yet, but that’s set to change with the introduction of the Compass Trailhawk, which should bring with it a 9-speed automatic. @ k | Then what is right choice in between jeep compass , octavia or corolla altis. shall it be of worth to wait for automatic version of harrier or skoda karoq!
I also have the same question. Octavia is good but the new model is (possibly) coming at the end of next year. Regarding Altis, it's outdated. Either go for Jeep, if you are not living in a big city or wait for Skoda Karoq or Citron C5.

FIrst thing first. Petrol Compass is not a peppy car to drive. In
real world conditions and in big cities the fuel average is dismal. 6-8 is the best that u cn expect overall.
The regular maintenance is at par with cars in same price bracket. It is roughly around 10000/- for every
service. Service interval is 15000 kms.

Besides the launch of the Compass, Jeep has also introduced FCA’s famed Mopar brand for the after sales and customisation. As of now, there are 48 Mopar authorised workshops throughout the country for 50+ Jeep dealerships. You're getting three years or 100,000km warranty on the Compass along with three years of RSA (road side assistance) and 24/7 Mopar support for free! It has a service interval of 15,000km or a year, whichever comes early. Also on offer is Mopar maintenance packages, tyre and battery care. You can also opt for Mopar extended warranty. Then there are Mopar accessories and merchandise. It is something really exciting since (although) FCA’s existing after sales support (for Fiat) is nothing to speak of, it is improving. For further assistance, we would suggest you to get in touch with the dealership as they will be better person to assist you in this concern. No idea on the petrol version as i have a diesel model
The Limited Plus commands a premium of around Rs 1 lakh over the previous range-topping variant, the Limited (O). It seems justified, given the premium goodies and additional features that the segment warrants. Some of which include auto-dimming inside rearview mirror, six airbags and powered driver’s seat. Being a new variant, the Limited Plus remains mechanically unchanged. Its petrol version is powered by a 1.4-litre turbo petrol (163PS/250Nm) mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. The diesel version has a 2.0-litre engine (173PS/350Nm) mated to a 6-speed manual with either 4x2 or 4x4 drivetrain options. - Jeep Compass Petrol Automatic: Road Test Review: https://www.zigwheels.com/reviews-advice/reviews/jeep-compass-petrol-automatic-road-test-review/29339

The claimed ARAI mileage for the Jeep Compass petrol is 16 kmpl. Limited trim offers you the widest choice of engine and drivetrain options. It is the only variant that offers an automatic option – a 7-speed dual-clutch auto with the 1.4-litre turbo petrol.
