The BYD Seal, like most modern electric vehicles, primarily uses DC (Direct Current) to power its battery pack, as the battery itself stores energy in DC form. However, the vehicle is equipped with an onboard charger that converts AC (Alternating Current) from standard charging outlets into DC for charging the battery. For fast charging, DC chargers directly supply power to the battery without the need for conversion.
