Mercedes-Benz V-Class Latest Updates

With the all-new V-Class, Mercedes-Benz wants to kickstart the demand for luxury MPVs in India. Again. Yes, this is not the first time Mercedes has launched an MPV in India, it so with the humongous R-Class back in 2011. Available in two variants, the V-Class is priced from Rs 68.40 lakh - Rs 81.90 lakh, ex-showroom pan-India, the high costs are because the MPV is brought here as CBUs (completely built units).

The Mercedes-Benz V-Class is powered by a 2.1-litre, 4-cylinder, turbo-diesel engine developing 163PS of maximum power and 380Nm of peak torque paired to a 7-speed torque converter. Power is sent to the rear wheels, unlike new-age MPVs.

The Mercedes-Benz V-Class does not have any direct competition in the market.

Mercedes-Benz V-Class Highlights

Specifications

The Mercedes-Benz V-Class is powered by a 2.1-litre, 4-cylinder, turbo-diesel engine developing 163PS of maximum power and 380Nm of peak torque paired to a 7-speed torque converter. Power is sent to the rear wheels, unlike new-age MPVs.

Exterior and Interior

Aesthetically, the Mercedes-Benz V-Class looks like a quintessential MPV with a flair of luxury. A raked van-like front fascia gets a large chrome grille, LED headlamps with LED DRLs. 16/17-inch alloy wheels, sliding doors (electric in the Exclusive Line) add more flair to the design.

The Mercedes-Benz V-Class feels like any other car from the company, but gets van-like greenhouse all around - and that natural spacious feel. Belonging to the older generation models, the V-Class interior isn't as tech-laden as the company's newer offerings - like the G-Class. This is not to say the V-Class will feel basic.

Competitors

The Mercedes-Benz V-Class does not have any direct competition in the market.
