Rajkumar | 6 years ago4 ReplyI own a CB Shine 2010 model. It can't resist speed over 60km/hr and not suitable for a long ride. It was in 2011, I went for a ride around 180kms without a break and while returning back, my bike stopped due to some issue in the carburetor. This issue repeated many times when I ride constantly at 70km/hr for about 20kms on the highway. Now I ensure my bike doesn't go beyond 60km/hr.
Nihar | 6 years ago18 ReplyI have completed a journey of 618 k.m in one day by taking 15 minutes of rest after running each 100 k.m. It has taken 14 hours to complete the journey. The bike has given 60 k.m/L of mileage and not a single issue arises in the bike Engine . BS -6 model Honda shine bike and the journey was the 2nd day of purchase..... Excellent bike ......
RAXON | 4 years ago0 ReplyThe BS - 6 is just a Peice from heaven , i own it from 1.5 years and i do long rides of 250 kms a day at 70-80 kmph gives a mileage i am ok with and will heat if you ride for 10+ mins at 90+ kmph but riding at 70 constantly will give you decent Mileage of around 45- 50 and stopping for 2-3 mins at every 40-50 kms will make your engine life better. I am a harsh rider to be honest at ride it at high speeds and high rpm's and such a reliable Peice of engine with such riding it has still haven't break down once and people are amazed by its acceleration. I just love my bike
Sailohith | 5 years ago5 ReplyI have go ahead for 216 kms in a single ride no issues occured to me I didn't give any rest to my bike I kept engine off after 216kms around 1 hour and started again for 250 kms after that no issues occured to me it is a excellent bike
Manzul | 4 years ago2 ReplyAlways put honda engine oil in my cb shine 125cc bike, has a drain-change period of 2000-3000km, which synthetic oil is available with more drain-change period, shell advance, motul or castrol, please advice,I normally drive on the highway for distances between 150-200km in a go, so which is overall best indian condition 125cc engine oil& 10w30 or 20w40.

Rajkumar, You should take atleast 15 to 20 minutes rest after every 60 to 65 km,Shine is a communicator bike not a sport bike, so it's engine need rest, ensure that bike shouldn't go over average speed of 50kmph
Alpana | 3 years ago0 ReplyI owned shine bs6 from 2 and a half years from now and clocked 18000kms. Recently i have done a ride of 480km. Cruising speed was 70-80km. I have taken rest of 30 min every 100kms. Got mileage of 50kmpl. It took around 10 hours to complete my ride. No overheating, no power lag. No bike in 125cc can complete this beast. Go for it it's allrounder.
