Yamaha FZ-X is powered by a single-cylinder, 149cc, air-cooled, fuel-injected engine which produces 12.4PS and 13.3Nm. The engine is linked to a five-speed gearbox and the bike comes with traction control for added safety. Suspension duties are handled by 41mm telescopic front-fork and a seven-step preload-adjustable monoshock at the rear. Braking is looked after by a 282mm front disc and 220mm rear disc, with single-channel ABS as standard. The bike rolls on 17 inch alloy wheels which are wrapped in 100-section front and 140-section rear tubeless tyres. The bike has a 10 litre fuel tank and weighs 139kg (kerb). It has a 810mm tall seat and ground clearance of 165mm.
