Price: The Husqvarna Svartpilen 250 is priced at Rs 1,98,669 (ex-Showroom). It’s offered in only one variant.
Design: The Svartpilen may share the same exotic-looking sleek lines as the Vitpilen 250, but it’s designed to take on the Scrambler avatar. It features dual-purpose tyres, a tank rack, and a darker livery for this very reason. A pair of rear-set footpegs and a taller set handlebar ensure a sporty yet comfortable riding posture.
Features: As far as features are concerned, the Svartpilen 250 comes with an all-LED lighting system, a full-digital instrument console, USD forks running a radially mounted caliper, and dual-purpose tyres.
Engine: It uses the same 248.8cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine as the KTM 250 Duke and makes the same 30PS and 24Nm of torque. The motor uses a 6-speed transmission with a slip and assist clutch. Its tiny little tank can hold up to 9.5-litres of fuel.
Suspension, Brakes & Other Details: Hardware-wise, the Svartpilen 250 uses a steel trellis frame, an upside fork, and a monoshock from WP. A single 320mm disc up front, mated to a radially mounted caliper and a single 230mm rear disc, helps anchor the bike. Dual-channel ABS comes as standard. It’s 17-inch 5-spoke alloy wheels come wrapped in MRF RevZ FD radial dual-purpose tyres. The bike's seat height measures in at 835mm which is on the taller side.
Rivals: The Husqvarna Vitpilen 250 competes against the Bajaj Dominar 250 and the Suzuki Gixxer 250 in terms of price. However, if you consider its segment, it also takes on the Yamaha FZ25, Royal Enfield Scram 411 and the KTM 250 Duke.
