Zontes 350E

The 350E is what you get when Zontes puts maximum effort into making a Maxi… MAXI! This is one big scooter, big like a BMW C400 GT, dwarfing even the Yamaha Aerox in a parking lot. With a 349cc liquid-cooled heart beating under the hood, this is one fast scooter too. Making roughly 37PS and 38Nm, it’s not only more powerful than the Bavarian maxi but it also lighter than it too- 198kg. 

In terms of hardware the 350E gets a telescopic front fork and a monoshock at the rear. Braking is handled by single discs at the front and back. This is a Zontest product hence it gets a full keyless experience. Be it locking/unlocking the scooter, filling fuel or even opening the boot, there’s a button for it on the switch cubes. 

It also gets a large colour TFT screen and riding modes as standard. But the coolest feature we found was the button operated adjustable windscreen. When launched, we expect it to be priced at the Rs 5 lakh (ex-showroom) mark. While that is expensive for a scooter, it undercuts the BMW C400 GT by a mile while packing enough firepower to do some real maxi-scooting if you’re into that format of riding.
