Kia EV9

Kia has revealed the design of the production-spec EV9 electric SUV. The EV9 will be Kia’s flagship EV, and it bears a sleek appearance overall with its smooth body lines and boxy fenders. 

Inside, the SUV gets a multi-screen panel with two 12.3-inch screens and a smaller five-inch screen in the middle. It has power reclining front and second row seats, and the second-row seats can even be swiveled by 180-degrees to face the third row. 

The full specs and details of the Kia EV9 will be revealed at its global premiere later in March 2023.

Previously, Kia had showcased the EV9 at its Auto Expo stall. The electric SUV is developed on an advanced E-GMP platform (same as the EV6) which boasts some impressive numbers like a claimed range of 482km, a fast charging speed of up to 350kW, and a 10-80% top-up time of around 20-30 minutes. The cabin is futuristic and makes use of sustainable materials like recycled plastic bottles and vegan leather. A launch in India could be on the cards after the production model gets launched globally.
