- Maintenance cost of vento highline petrol AT is 8-9k per service in one yr only
- You can get an idea from all the answers.
- Mine is Vento highline 2013 model. On highway It give me 22-23 when you go on 80-90 kmph, and will give you around 20-21 when you go on till 110. Maintenance will be 13K when you go for VW showroom servicing every year, and will cost 6-7k when you get it done outside work shops. Parts will be costlier but will last long. I loved vento than others.
- Maintenance cost as in other answers.petrol option is Honda city. Both for manual and automatic. Diesel manual you can trust verna crde.Diesel at verna has introduced 7 speed replacing old 5 good ,long term issues we have to see .But it's worth. you have to stretch you budget to higher side.
- To be honest I am not checking on the mileage. But I guess I get a decent 12/13 for city commute with a occasional highway trip once a month included.
- City and Verna having CVT it's somewhat same technology of heartless scooty. However Vento is having latest German technology true automatic DSG (dual shift gears) based. Driving only in city will be comfortable on City and Verna. These are light vehicle and some what easy to maneuver. However if you are planning to drive long outside the city often, then Vento will be right choice as it is heavy, sturdy and much safer than other two makes. If you are Pro on technology but Vento but if you need to sell car often and need to get a good resale value then go for City and Verna. After sales services of Vento will be less average than other two.
- Automatic petrol its always vento tsi dsg
- Don't buy automatic vento
- Maruti has been here for long parts tested in our country.German counterparts test sensors outside India so it has inherited the problem of bad diesel fuel gauge issues same for renault.brand. Then Tata and mahindra should use it the most .they are coming up especially Tata new cars. To be specific the problem is the same in all ventos its cost cutting issues fuel gauge sensor replacements. our roads can be blamed for some issues like suspension regardless of brands. There duster scores .Also thar and bolero make sense in the condition. thanks
- If you go by after sales service, then go for Maruti and Hyundai,Go by Style, Buy Linea, RenaultGo by Technology, buy honda, etcGo by strength - buy VolkswagenGo by Desi, buy Mahindra
- If you are looking for build quality and good ride comfort go for the Volkswagen or the Skoda, if you want your car packed with features go for honda, Hyundai, or even maruthi
- I hv used suv tata dogari n mahendra s scorpio both r excellent in their segments but this vento a vedant from VW I purchased it fascinated with d name VW is not at par with its fame is of course strong body with quick but noisy engine , worthless thin apolo tyres and virtually no shokups. And poor after sales dealers support However it looks decent from a side look but totally unattractive front and back view . Feature wise , In my opinion it would have been a concept car of nineteenth century that is now sold in 21st century .
- Of course, VENTO is better .it has super built quality, excellent stability, and good performance....,the only thing that ciaz got is better mileage and resale value..., don't buy ciaz if you are looking for a stable and safe car.
- Vento is in a different league.petrol ciaz is peppy and fastoverall vento is the choice.

4.3Adequate bolstering
My Volkswagen Vento (diesel automatic and 2015 make) experience after driving 120, 000 kms.The Vento has an amazing driving experience that makes you carve corners. What I like the most about this car is its brilliant gearbox. The two modes of the gearbox are very smooth and refined with lighting quick shifts. The sporty feel of the car, the efficiency of the TDS engine and the quick-shifting DSG make it a mile muncher. Its been 7 years and I still find reasons to drive this amazing sturdy and safe car. In terms of the comfort level, The front seats are quite supportive with adequate bolstering. The rear seats are also good, However, The legroom is a little bit less compared to other cars in its segment. In fact, it is nowhere close to what my humble Honda Jazz offers. The best thing about Vento is that nobody can beat the driving pleasure. The sporty feel that it gives you is rare in this price bracket. The excellent boot space of 490 ltr. More than enough space for a family trip. Very safe and good build quality. Comes with dual front airbags. Using this car for more than 7 years but still there is no vibrations or rattling sound or any other plastic issues. Build quality is very good as compared to Honda and Maruti. The steering weighs up very well when you gain speed. Even after good sporty driving pleasure does not mean you get less average. In the city, you get an average of 18-19 km. While on the highway you get a very good average of around 25 kmpl. I have personally travelled from Pune to Udaipur (885kms) to pali (186kms) to Udaipur(186 kms). Overall 1200 kms in a full tank of 55 ltr.After-sales service is good. The service is prompt. The worst thing about Vento is it has fewer features than other cars like Maruti, Honda and Hyundai, but to me build quality and driving pleasure is more important than feature-rich cars which compromise on performance and handling. The maintenance cost is quite high. Below a lakh km, I was paying around 15k and 27k alternatively for the annual service. No major part changed during this period but after 1 lakh km in Dec 2020, a series of things happened. At 1.1 lakh km, I was driving the car and suddenly the flywheel got damaged. Had to tow the car and after analysis, They said both the flywheel and the multi-clutch were damaged. Got a bill of 97k. DSGs are unreliable. After driving another 7-8 months, I was getting another gearbox related issue in which the car was not moving in the drive mode. When analyzed they said, mechatronic is damaged. Need to change it. Got another bill of around 80k related to the gearbox in a year's time. Ac performance is quite sub-par. In a state like Rajasthan, on a hot day, the car struggles to cool the cabin. The area which requires improvement in the car is its service cost. Service costs should be lower. Parts cost is very high, especially the imported ones. The company should provide good tyres. Volkswagen group should come with robust ACs in a tropical country like India.

5.0Super safe
Vento is complete value for money, With a zippy 1.6 diesel engine, Super safe at high speeds, Being a sedan has a low cg which makes it very easy to handle on treacherous hilly roads, The quality of plastics in the interior and the leatherette used is very superior. After nine years of use it still feels new, It has given me a fuel economy of 17 kmpl in the city, 21 to 23 on the highway @ 100 to 130 speed, And uphill drive 17 to 18 and downhill drive 25 to 30 kmpl.Maint average cost is about 12k annual.
