I got the opportunity to drive this bike and I am happy with this , The Royal Enfield Himalayan is a great choice for adventures people. The mileage is decent for an adventure bike (around 30-35 km/liter). It has Great seating, good riding position for both rider and pillion. Its engine is not super powerful (24.3 HP), but smooth and performs well on rough roads. The experience is fun for exploring off-road and on-road rides. It is much affordable as compared to other big adventure bikes. It gives Good low-end torque for off-road situations.

Personal experience

Performance-wise it is a good bike, Nimble and well equipped for the long-distance haul. The seat is to the softer side, Good for a short distance but you start feeling the chassis after 200 kms, which is not that of a good feeling. Pros:- 1. Good for long-distance rides 2. Availabilities for aftermarket options 3. Availabilities of service centers 4. Good off-road capability 5. Good cruising speed of 130 km/hr 6. A very good service period of 10k kms cons:-1. Faulty electrical wirings 2. Very weak chassis, issues of cracked chassis, find it in google pics. Build quality of the chassis is really very bad. ( personal experience) 3. Bad performance of shock absorbers after 1-2 years of riding, goes to the very stiff side like riding without any shock absorbers. 4. Oil leakage from the engine 5. A lot of vibrations on the visors and handle especially. 6. Major cone set issues, please use better cone bearings. 7. Lights need to be changed to led. 8. Underpowered for highway cruising. 9. The engine needs a lot of refining, please improve the forever present tappet noise and head noise, its very annoying. 10. Very bad after-sale service. Overall the bike is not that good and not that bad. Almost all the parts need to be changed from the aftermarket. At the last it's like buying a lottery, Totally depends on your luck. If you are lucky you get a good bike if not the problems start from day one. And there is no option to exchange once you have bought an item or product from the Royal Enfield.

Himalayan bike

Have purchased my Himalayan bike in 2016, To date has driven around 5600kms. Want to go for the classic 350 but thought of trying a new entrant into the market in the sports bike segment and it was not a great pleasant experience as it gave a lot of battery replacement issues as I have replaced thrice and charged out for 15 times as it doesnot support kick start only electric start. Had multiple times sudden shutdowns of electricals while riding in traffic in my first 3 free services. On a long ride has a sudden crash at 3700kms on the express highway which is very un-usual after 2 weeks of service need to cut down the trip and return it back to a service station near Bellandur. I bought this at cv motors at Kalyan Nagar in Bangalore. This is as per basic standards, Overall would not recommend given, Earlier I used to drive a bajaj Avengers in 2005.

Money bike

4.6

This has to be the most value for money bike. It has great ride comfort, ergonomics and is an affordable adventure tourer. You will also enjoy this bike in daily commutes.Loads of accessories both from Royal Enfield as well as from Third Parties are available to make your experience rich. Fit the Aluminium Panniers made available by Royal Enfield and the bike becomes a head turner.Minor Negatives: Temperature Display not accurate. Tall bike for short riders - perfect for tall riders. Engine leaves you wanting for more power - but then the power to price ratio is great. If you are looking for a comfortable bike that can go anywhere and do anything, whilst not costing a bomb, then go for Royal Enfield Himalayan

1 Year Review of Himalayan

1 year review of himalayan 411.It's been a year since i got my dream bike himalayan and i have clocked around 15k km so far.The experience is by far an emotional roller coaster with lots of ups and downs. The riding posture is okay and i can ride all day without any hassles. But i am thinking to swap the handlebar with the aom one. Most of the time, I did hardcore off-roading and it handles every road with ease. The mileage is okay comparing the 411 cc engine, I get 34 kmpl on highways and 24-28 off-road.The servicing experience is by far good.Overall, If you are looking for a bike that can go all terrain without any issues, The himalayan is the best choice.
