Triumph Bonneville Bobber Launching Soon

The Triumph Bonneville Bobber was unveiled earlier this year and it was certain that Triumph will be launching the motorcycle in India soon. Reaffirming the speculation, the bikemaker has recently shared a teaser video of the motorcycle on their official India website (www.triumphmotorcycles.in).Some dealerships have also confirmed that they have commenced the bookings of the motorcycle at a booking amount of Rs 2 lakh. Once the bike is launched, it will be delivered within 10 days after full payment is done.

The Triumph Bonneville Bobber is a stripped down Bonneville T120 in the flesh with classic retro styling with elegant touches all over. A stripped down version of everyday utility motorcycles with minimalistic styling is a rough depiction of what bobbers are. The Bonneville Bobber gets a floating aluminium single-seat pan, wide handle bars, and hard tail look with a stripped down, signature bobber look. The motorcycle gets adjustable riding position, twin slash cut sawn off peashooter silencers with a muscular stance. The bike also gets an all-new chassis and suspension geometry, bubble tank, discrete taillights, custom battery box and a lean tucked-in headlamp. Other features include two riding modes, road and rain; switchable traction control, torque-assist clutch and immobiliser.

The upcoming Bonneville Bobber gets all the bells and whistles in line with all the other modern day motorcycles offered by Triumph with the electronics neatly integrated and masked under the skin. The Bobber is powered by a 1200cc parallel-twin motor which produces 77PS @ 6100 rpm and a peak torque of 106Nm @ 4000 rpm, mated to a 6-speed gearbox. Most of the power and torque is available at lower rpm and the result is a relaxed engine, ideal for comfortable rides. The motorcycle gets a 310mm disc with Nissin twin-piston floating calipers at the front and a 255mm disc with Nissin single piston caliper at the rear along with ABS as standard. It gets KYB 41mm telescopic forks with 90mm travel at the front and KYB monoshock with 76.9mm travel at the rear.

The price of the bike is not confirmed yet, but we expect it to be around Rs 10 lakh on-road. Once on sale, it will face competition from Moto Guzzi V9 Bobber.
