Spy photos of the next generation Triumph Bonneville being tested has emerged. This doesn’t really come as a surprise as the current generation of Triumph Bonneville last received an update in 2001. The new bike will be an important product for the British bikemaker as the Bonneville is its bread and butter motorcycle offering. From the spy pictures it’s clear that next generation of Bonneville will feature a new chassis and powerplant. Also on the design front, it seems that the next generation Triumph Bonneville would be more retro with respect to styling than the current bike. The biggest change on the new Triumph Bonneville will be the fact that the motor will not be air-cooled. The bike caught testing featured a radiator signifying the fact that the new Bonneville will be liquid-cooled.
It is also speculated that the displacement of the parallel twin motor will be hiked from the existing 865cc and power output will be hiked to around 70PS. The motor will be mated to a five-speed transmission like in the case of the current Bonneville. The frame of the bike will continue to be a tubular steel cradle but will be tweaked for better handling dynamics. The new Triumph Bonneville is expected to make its world debut at the 2016 EICMA motorcycle show in Milan later this year with a probable Indian debut at the 2016 Auto Expo.
