Suzuki India is celebrating 25 years of the iconic Hayabusa with a special edition. The manufacturer has launched the Suzuki Hayabusa 25th Anniversary Celebration Edition in India, priced at Rs 17,70,000. It costs Rs 80,000 more than the standard Hayabusa which costs Rs 16,90,000 (both prices ex-showroom Delhi).

The Hayabusa 25th Anniversary Celebration Edition pays tribute to the legacy of the legendary Hayabusa. It comes with a special orange and black colour scheme called Glass Blaze Orange and Glass Sparkle Black. The bike gets a gold anodized drive chain adjuster and the inner part of the front disc. The exhaust muffler features a 25th-anniversary logo engraving, and the drive chain has a Hayabusa Kanji logo.

Moreover, the bike gets a 25th-anniversary emblem and 3D embossed Suzuki badging on both sides of the tank. The Hayabusa Celebration Edition also gets special V-shaped decals on the fairings and the tail section. The special edition bike comes with a matching seat cowl as standard.

The changes are only aesthetic and the Hayabusa 25th Anniversary Celebration Edition remains unchanged mechanically and hardware-wise. It continues to be powered by the same 1340cc liquid-cooled in-line four-cylinder engine as the current third-generation Hayabusa that produces 190PS and 150Nm. It is paired with a 6-speed transmission and a slip-and-assist clutch. The motorcycle features the Suzuki Intelligent Ride System (S.I.R.S.), including traction control systems and a bi-directional quickshifter.

There is no direct rival left for the Hayabusa after the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14R was discontinued. However, for a similar price, you can also consider litre bikes like the Kawasaki ZX-10R and if you stretch your budget a little more, you can also get a BMW S1000 RR. The newly launched Aprilia RS 660 is also available in the same price range.
