Citroen has introduced the C3 Aircross SUV with a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission.
Offered in two variants: Plus and Max.
Paired with the existing 110 PS 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine but produces more torque, 205 Nm.
Prices for the C3 Aircross automatic start from Rs 12.85 lakh and go up to Rs 13.85 lakh (ex-showroom).
Rivals compact SUVs like the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos and Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara.
The Citroen C3 Aircross, known for its unique three-row layout, lacked the convenience of an automatic transmission. Until now, that is, as Citroen has now introduced a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission in the C3 Aircross SUV, with prices starting from Rs 12.85 lakh (ex-showroom). Here are all the details.

Citroen will be offering the C3 Aircross with automatic transmission in top-two variants: Plus and Max. They command a premium of Rs 1.3 lakh over their respective manual transmission variants. The two-pedal setup is offered with both the 5-seater and 7-seater options.
The Citroen C3 Aircross now gets the option of the newly introduced 6-speed torque converter unit paired with its 110 PS 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine. However, the automatic model produces more torque (205 Nm) compared to the 6-speed MT variant, which generates 190 Nm.
We think Citroen should have offered the C3 Aircross automatic from its initial launch itself, as it would have offered customers the convenience of a two-pedal setup.

The C3 Aircross locks horns with compact SUVs like the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, and Maruti Grand Vitara, while offering an alternative to MPVs like the Maruti Ertiga, XL6, and Kia Carens.
