- The Land Rover Defender is available as a 3 door or 5 door - At launch, the Defender gets a 2.0 litre petrol engine - Defender variants - Standard, S, SE, HSE & First Edition The Land Rover Defender is a name that came into being in the 1940s. It’s one of the longest running car models in the world and has always been about off road capability above all else. The new generation Defender is based on a new aluminium monocoque chassis and packs in more modernities to make it feel both purposeful and luxurious. After all, with on road prices starting at around Rs 80 lakh, chances are it’ll appeal to people who have no intention of ever going off road but want something that makes a big statement. Bigger than perhaps, even a Range Rover. For the new model the Defender comes equipped with features like powered, heated and cooled seats, upto 3 zones of climate control, sunroof, Meridian sound system, 10 inch touchscreen and 12.3 inch digital instrument cluster. And while it can’t offer a central driving position like the original, it does get the option of a bench type front seat! So even the 3 door Defender 90 series, can seat up to 6 people. The Defender 110 comes as a 5,6 or 5+2 seater. At launch, the Defender gets a 2.0 litre turbo petrol engine paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission and permanent all wheel drive as standard. It is also offered with air suspension, terrain response modes and a 2 speed transfer box. More on the Land Rover Defender: https://www.zigwheels.com/newcars/Lan...
