At the 2024 Hero World event, Hero MotoCorp launched its sportiest 125cc motorcycle till date - the Xtreme 125R. Even though it shares its name with the Xtreme series, this 125cc sporty commuter stands completely apart in terms of design. Hero says that the Xtreme 125R has been designed for younger and more enthusiastic riders who want more than just a regular commuter motorcycle. To achieve this, Hero created a brand new chassis for this baby Xtreme and equipped it with a chunky 37mm fork (the same size as the one on the Xtreme 160R), 17-inch wheels at both ends and wide MRF Zapper tyres. It’s also the first 125cc bike in the country to be offered with ABS (Anti-lock Braking System). But at the heart of this bike is a brand new 125cc motor that is among the most powerful in its segment, keeping it true to its sporty commuter goal. With prices starting at Rs 95,000, the Xtreme 125R is a little more affordable than its chief rivals - the Bajaj Pulsar NS125 and the TVS Raider.
